The Personal Security Detachment Course (PSD), will teach military close protection coordinates that someone must know, as a member of a PSD team working in hostile environment, in order to overcome any violent encounter that aims to harm in any way the person that is being protected. The Personal Security Detachment Course (abbreviated PSDC), is an approved training program by Military, Law Enforcement and Security Agencies. It will teach you defensive tactics in case there is a non-lethal or a possible lethal threat against an official or non-official that is being protected by a PSD Team, that may also involve the use of firearms or other distance weapons from the assailant. The Basic Personal Security Detachment course, covers a range of topics, including the history of PSD teams, incidents and terrorism teams, threat assessment, defensive tactics, close-quarters combat, combat medic, weapon manipulation, convoy movement, protective formations and movement, vehicle security, emergency response, communication and teamwork, weapon manipulation etc.

ASP BASIC CERTIFICATION (ABC) RESTRAINTS

This field-level, one day / 5-hour certification program is designed to acquaint participants with operational use of the ASP Tactical Restraints. The training includes basic portation (carrying), presentation (drawing) and restrain techniques as well as defensive application procedures. Certification acknowledges that the individual officer met a competency-based standard of knowledge and performance.
